Busy Book

I decided that since we haven't done a challenge or a while, I would post the project that I've been working on. It's a little "busy book" for Penny for when she is a little older. This part of it is a "build a face." It will be all magnetized.

Picture for Baby Bott

We are planning on decorating the baby's room with pictures from her aunts, uncles, and cousins. Her unofficial name we're planning on (for right now at least) is Penelope (Penny) Ursa Bott. Just so you know, Ursa means "little bear." If possible, please include birds and bears... we're not really planning on doing robots until we have little Ro.

Here is a picture Ryan did... Ryan is off the hook on this one, unless he wants to do another, then in that case, he's not.

This is a Terrifying Thanksgiving Turkey. Maybe he's not that terrifying, but I'm sure he's delicious.

McKensie's Tital Wave of T's

McKensie kept herself busy with this challenge. I was really impressed with all the research and studying she did to find as many things as she could that started with the letter 't'. I was even more impressed that she tried to find as many prehistoric creatures, as well.

Lexie's Turtle

Here's Lexie's submission for this month. She actually got it done several weeks ago, but I'm just getting it in right now... just under the gun.

McKensie's Toucans and Turtle

McKensie built a turtle and toucan in Legos... uh, oh... now Uncle Adam has no excuse not to join in on these challenges. :)

She also drew this toucan from a picture we found on the internet.

Pink Teddy

That's right. This is a little pink teddy... just like the one Adam has.

This is dedicated to Steph, who I'm sure will somehow misconstrue the title as something dirty.

Pink Birds from Alexis

Here are Lexie's submissions. She also had these done at the beginning of the month, but their old dad took a long time to get them up.

Lex loves drawing this bird. She got it out of one of her coloring books, and she is has drawn in many times. She's doing a great job of practicing her drawing and is getting better all the time.

Kens actually had these done on the first of the month, but it's taken me this long to scan them and get them submitted. She had a lot of fun with this challange!

PINK BABY

I painted this after finding out Linds was preggers. It is pink, hahaha.

Kens is really excited about this challenge. I'm sure this is the first of many that she will do this month.

I should also add that while she looked at a picture when she drew this, it was completely freehand.

After several attempts to draw Lexie and then getting frustrated because it didn't look like her, I decided to cheat and just do a little photoshop work. As you can tell, I'm kind of an expert. Looks like it's a real photo :)

Well, I know this is late, but better late than never, right?

Ambree Joins In

Okay, so I told Ambree to draw a picture of her favorite animal (which is a horse.) She then drew this picture of the care bear's birthday party. Please note her name in the top right hand corner, she's made them characters. Just so you know these are Funshine and Cheer Bears.

She wanted to add a rainbow and some other things, but ran out of time. I think it looks great the way it is.

Alexis' Shaggy Doo

When Lex was littler, she used to call Shaggy (from Scooby-Doo), "Shaggy Doo". I've referred to him as that for so long that I can't call him anything else.

Boots

I made this Pinata for Ambree. It's Boots from Dora. It kind of turned out funny because the colors aren't right (the dollar store didn't have light blue... I wish I would have gone to Partyland) and I got a little rushed towards the end so he doesn't have a tail or those things on his head. But it took me a month, so I'm proud of it.

Teenage Bubbles

I'm having a lot of fun with this topic, so I thought I would add another. This is Bubbles from the Powerpuff girls after hitting her teen years. Unfortunately, she's still not very smart.

Inspector Gadget - TO THE MAX!

I've always been a big fan of Inspector Gadget, but I'm not sure what I was trying to accomplish here. I guess I was going for a more intense version of him.

Oh! And, I should also add... FIRST ONE DONE OF THE FAAAAAMILY! I miss that.

When I was working on Amped 2, I did a hidden character of myself. Fortunately, it didn't make it in the final game. Looking at it now, it freaks me out a little bit.

SUPER DAD - featuring the scribblings of McCoy

Because Shawn was torn between this month's challenge being between 'Superheroes' and something for dad, I thought I would make Dad into a superhero.

Unfortunately, I left this drawing on my desk and unprotected from little McCoy. I was going to touch it up, then ink and color it, but after McCoy made is contributions, I figured I would call it good.

McKensie drew this picture of Superman while we were watching Superman IV. I like how she even captured the little curl in the front of his hair.

Super Girl

After 8 years, I thought it was safe to finally let the family know, I've always been a superhero at heart! When I was a kid, I'd jump off the fire place every night, hoping that time would be the time I would be able to fly.

Every now and then, they'll all just do this, at the same time, for no reason. I'm just glad we were able to capture it on film.

Seeing we're still waiting for the new challenge, Jenny and I thought that we would throw one more up here.

Since I was out of town at the end of the month, it's okay for me to be posting this late. I did make this guy a couple of weeks ago, I just never took a picture of him. I made him out of some Crayola clay stuff. It felt like play dough when I was making him and when it dried it feels like foam. It's actually kind of cool material. One of his ears fell off.
